About us
I believe I was born with a love of fabrics and anything to do with interiors. Over the years I have collected or more realistically horded floral fabrics and saved the lives of numerous pieces of unwanted furniture.
My love affair with all things Fench began in the 80's. We sold our quaint picture post card Derbyshire cottage, bought a VW camper and with a 5 month old baby emigrated to France in search of our dream home.
The dream home was found, renovated and filled to bursting with French furniture, many brocante finds , some pieces were salvaged from our monthly tip run and 2 more babies. We spent many happy years raising our children and being as self sufficient as possible. Our paying guests and my curtain making paid for luxuries and the odd trip to a brocante fair.
We are now back in the UK living in a fabulous Derbyshire farmhouse full to bursting yet again with our French furniture, local junk shop finds and yes my beloved fabrics.
